Targeted Web Traffic ? How to Get Web Site Traffic With Free Resources

Targeted Web Traffic is getting visitors to your site who are interested in what you have to offer. These visitors have to be able to find your web site first. The two most common ways visitors will find your site is by typing in a word phrase into a search engine or linking to your web site from another web site. There are several ways to get your web site on the search engines results page and on other web sites. Many of these ways are free. Here are three free resources you can take advantage of to get targeted web traffic to your site.

Writing articles and publishing them on article web sites is a great way to bring attention to your web site. And sometimes these same articles will quickly rank on search engine results pages. This gives you another opportunity for visitors to find your site. These articles should have keywords or search phrases in them that visitors use to find information on your website topic. For example, if you have a website on aquariums. You would want your article to have phrases in it about aquariums or fish. These keywords should be considered in all three ways I discuss to get web site traffic.

Keep in mind, one article will not get the amount of targeted web traffic you are looking for. You will need to write and submit several articles focusing on the topic or niche of your web site. Most article web sites do not allow you to put links to any web sites in the body of the article. However, they do allow a bio box about the author to be used and a link can be placed in this text that points to your web site. Before publishing any articles, review each article web site’s policies.

Social media sites like Squidoo or Hubpages are sites where the members create and provide most of the content for the site. These types of sites allow you to directly link to your web site. So, you can create a page on the site that discusses the topic that your web site is about. You can include links to your web site allowing the visitor to the social media site to follow the link or click through to your site. This then brings targeted web traffic to your web site because the visitor wants more information on the topic of your web site. As with all 3 of these web site traffic ideas, these social media sites want good content and not one big advertisement. Being spammy and not providing any useful content may get your page deleted. And there goes all your hard work.

Blogging and Microblogging are similar and are both ways to get targeted web traffic. Blogging can be done by having your own blog web site or using a community blogging website. WordPress has both types. I believe it is better to have your own blog so you are in control of the blog contents. Blogging is a platform that encourages the question “What’s on your mind?” to be answered. This type of site allows you to put in your own content, create links to your sites or other sites, similar to social media sites. Updating your blog weekly is a must. The search engines love new content. These updates can be short. Microblogging are sites that encourage very short entries, some only a couple of lines. One of these sites is Twitter. If blogging asks, “what’s on your mind?”, microblogging asks, “what’s on your mind right now?”As with blogging, you can link to your web site with microblogs, but be sure to provide good, informative content.
Using all three of these traffic generating ideas together will help bring in a steady stream of traffic. All of these ideas should be done on a consistent basis to keep the flow of targeted web traffic going to your site. Although I have only listed a few resources, there are almost unlimited resources that can be used to get web site traffic.

Web Design Articles – Content Marketing: Challenges in the Free for All Trend on the Net!

We shall discuss here few tips that shall earn you money even if you sell your products online. It shall make your subscription website profitable.

Whether you run an online magazine, a money-making web site, a private community with memberships, or just a web site with unique, in-demand content, you can earn money selling subscriptions to your web site.

1. Marketing wins over Selling:

We’ve all visited those web sites where, every few lines, we’re reminded that we must pay for access to the site. Phrases like “Sign up Today!”, “Only $9.99 per month!”, and “Purchase a subscription!” are thrown around the web page as the webmaster’s hope of making a sale is made devastatingly clear to the visitor.

In doing this, the webmaster changes the perceived mission or focus of the web site from the subject of the content (such as cars or business) to him/her making money. If you want to sell content online, you’re going to need to show that you have a solid grasp on your content’s subject matter, and confidence in your web site. It’s more effective to create good content and present it in a clean, clear web site than to confuse visitors by bombarding them with subscription links. In this way, you’ll be seen as an expert and not someone who’s just trying to make a quick buck. Don’t create an impression that you are just another sales person trying to induce the visitors to buy from you!

2. Niche Marketing:

Niche marketing is the key to success for many businesses over the years, and it is holds good as far as the web is concerned. A niche subject for your web site is one with a relatively small scope. For example, instead of creating a web site that explains “how to make money”, you might create a web site that focuses on the topic of “how to make money with open source software.”

This narrows the scope of your site, increases search engine traffic, and gives you a chance to gain a much bigger percentage of the total market sales. If you write on too vague or too broad a topic, people won’t be confident that you will continue to write about things that interest them. Don’t cast a big net in the hope that you will catch a few fish; but create the netsize that would catch enough number of the desired fish you would like to catch. Make sure that you understand the exact needs of your target market.

3. Worth of your Content:

Every day, we come across such sites that are trying to sell a product — usually ebooks on how to make money fast (or some other extremely broad topic). The site consists of one page filled with reason after reason why the visitor should buy the product, presented in multi-colored fonts with bullet lists galore. Yet we rarely see a single example or excerpt from the product that we are being sold so fiercely. With all of the competition on the Web, it’s just not realistic to expect to reason someone into buying your product.

You must give some of your content away for free. Using any one of today’s subscription content management systems, it’s easy to make some content available to members only, while leaving other content open to the public. This allows your visitors to explore your web site as if they were members, while gently being reminded at certain points of the benefits of membership. If you give away some content for free, your content can sell itself. Its like free smapling of shampoo sachets or might be an exclusive coffee. You might get some customers switching to your brand after they try the free samples!

4. Search Engine Optimization:

An added benefit of the business model described in point #3 is that search engines will love your web site. This is important: if your web site can rank high in the search results for your site’s keywords, you’ll receive loads of highly targeted, free traffic. Google and other major search engines have technology built into their page ranking system that can sniff out “empty” web sites, or web sites that only attempt to sell content, yet provide none themselves.

You can gain a higher rank in the search engine results by making some content freely available, and using a clearly formatted web site. By making some content freely available, you give Google the chance to find your site’s keywords while increasing the likelihood that other web sites will link to you (something Google loves). Also, a clearly formatted web site is quickly understood by search engine spiders, which can “read” your content properly.

There are certain techniques that you can use to increase your search engine rankings, and these form the basis of the area of search engine optimization. However, instead of worrying too much about this stuff, advise you to build your web site using a content management system that uses SEO-friendly defaults. These defaults, combined with your quality content, will result in a web site that’s naturally search engine friendly.

5. Presentation is key.

It is true that a web site’s content will sell subscriptions all by itself, but we can’t ignore the fact that a well-designed, user-friendly web site will sell more subscriptions that an ugly web site with the same content. This fact seems to have been forgotten, especially in the subscription web site market. We don’t say that a web design needs to be flashy or filled with images, but if you expect to sell subscription memberships to your web site, you’re going to need to present a professional image.

A professional web site means: a nice logo, clear navigation, and a simple layout with proper content flow. A good subscription content management system should include a default web site design that offers these features. This means that, to get started, all you have to do is add content, change the logo, and change the colour scheme.

You Can Make Money with Subscription-based Content

Many people felt that the open source movement in software would kill the software industry, but as we’ve seen, the software industry has adapted to the open source movement and created the “software as a service” model. In doing so, the software industry, especially online, is bigger than ever.

Now, in the paid content arena, people are again saying that it’s impossible to sell content in a world where everything is free. Yes, it’s true that some subscription web sites haven’t transitioned well into the era of free content.

However, if you understand your site’s visitors and stay in touch with the free content model as these five tips suggest, you could earn loads of money per month with nothing more than a computer and some passion.

How to Get a Free Blog

Luckily for you, sites like Blogger.com have made it easy to set-up and make posts on a blog. In this newsletter, we will go over everything from signing up for a blog on Blogger.com to choosing a template (look) to finally making a first post.

What is Blogger.com?

Simply put, Blogger.com is a site that hosts blogs for free. This makes it even easier for you to have a blog because there is no need to set up a web site and host the blog yourself. All you have to do on Blogger.com, once you’ve signed up, is login to your blog, write a blog post and click submit. It‘s that simple.

What will my web address be on Blogger.com?

Your web address will be http://yourname.blogspot.com. One thing that people dislike about Blogger and other free blog sites is that they don’t have as great of a freedom in choosing a name. You are limited to choosing only what is available. So if you’re looking for http://yankeesfan.blogspot.com, you probably won’t be able to find that.

Signing up for a blog on Blogger

The first thing you’ll do is go to blogger.com. Next, you’ll scroll down the page and click on the button labeled “Create Your Blog Now”.

You will then be taken to a page where you will enter an email address (used to log into your blog), a password, and a word verification. You’ll also have to check “I Accept Terms of Service”. Click continue.

Next, you will be taken to a page where you will choose the blog title, blog address, and another word verification (which is done to prevent auto-signups). When you type in your blog address, you can click a link that says “check availability”. This will tell you whether or not the desired name is available. If the first name you wish to have is not available, keep typing in different variations of the name until you find one that is available.

After you have put in all the information, click “Continue”.

Choosing a Template

After you click “Continue”, you’ll be asked to choose a template. The template can be changed at any time after you sign-up for the blog, so you don’t have to choose an “official” template now.

If you scroll down, you’ll see a variety of different templates.

Click on the one that you like best and then click “Continue”.

Your First Blog Post

After you’ve chosen a template, you’ll see that your blog has been created and that there is a button to “Start Posting”. Click that button.

You’ll be taken to a page that is similar to the posting page at a message board. There is a “Title” field, where you can put in the title of this particular blog posting. Then there is a bigger field, which is the body of your post. Type all you want in this “Body” field, as there is no limit.

Note that there are options above the field to bold, italicize, underline or spell check the text. There is also the option of changing the size and color of the text, plus the ability to add bullet points, numbered lists and even pictures. For now, you’ll just do a simple “Welcome” post.

In the “Title” field, type “Welcome!” In the “Body” field, type your message. You could start with a simple introduction, talking about yourself and the purpose of the blog. When you’re done typing the message, click the “Publish” button. It is worth noting that you can choose to save the post as a draft, if you want to go back and later finish the post.

After you’ve clicked “Publish”, you’ll see that your blog has been published successfully. Click the “View Blog” link to view the results of your work. You’ll now see your post.

Logging into Blogger after the first post

You’ll go to Blogger.com and click on the “Old Blogger” link at the top right of the page. Type in the email address and password that you signed up with. You’ll be taken to the “Dashboard” of your blog. If you want to enter a new post on your blog, click “New Post”. Then follow the instructions mentioned in the previous section. Or if you want to edit the template, add/edit elements to your page, you’ll click “Settings” and then “Template”.

That’s all there is to it. Blogs, whether they are hosted at blogger.com or another free blog site, are incredibly useful and fun.

Blogger makes setting up and running a blog very easy for those who have never done it before. So what are you waiting for? Sign-up for a free blog at Blogger.com today and enjoy posting!

Joomla is a very powerful website design software tool. Since this program is an open source code, there is absolutely no charge acquiring and using this software. The developers of this software freely give it away. But that is the idea behind this source code- to share it with the public. It is also designed to befit those who do not have the means to afford high-end software, and thereby compete with large corporations. Since joomla was developed by a group of web designers and programmers out of the corporate shadow, the group responsible for its creation could be highly creative. Essentially Joomla web designing is the best software for web designing available that is free of charge. It has become so popular that it has brought other programmers to develop custom modules that can be loaded with Joomla for further enhancement. These enhancements can make this already superb web site and design software much more powerful and flexible.

Addons, or extensions as they are known in the Joomla comunity, are continually being developed and upgraded by programmers outside of the main core group. Usually when a new module is developed it will be made available to others at a reasonable price. Like the main program, the addons are suitable for small to large company web sites.

If you are concerned about support, there are a great many forums that you can read and review for technical issues. Of course, the best forum is the main community support system associated with the web site- forum.joomla.org/. In many cases, you do not have to make a post in the forum because it is likely your question has already been asked and answered.

Many more joomla templates are being created by third parties. These templates absolutely fit the Joomla web designing needs. Well, load it up and give it a spin. Worth of Educated Choice While Opting for a Web Host Provider

The selection of the best web hosting provider, having infinite number of suppliers and work harder. Who will decide on one of the providers should have adequate knowledge of the requirements. There are several points that should take care and finding a web host. First, the customer should list below all the requirements and then find the hosting provider below. Finally, if a supplier will be selected by the user, after a proper research, but it is obvious that the selected providers have certainly some extraordinary quality compared to other operators. It is well known that due to strong competition in which all suppliers is very elegant presentation of himself, it is very difficult for customers to choose one of them for their business. The only line to the left, is to help customers with “knowledge” as knowledge only those customers are in a position to decide, what to consider in order during the decision-making. It is important to acquire the customer knowledge, but the point is, how and where to acquire knowledge. The knowledge of the service sector plays an important role as knowledge of the technologies underlying the service, the knowledge about the people behind the service, knowledge of customer service, knowledge of the extent of Quality provided the hosting available and many other things, lists the . The first step taken by the majority of clients to create a line budget for the hosting, but to professionals who know the value of hosting will be placed, is not the money factor on the top, but reliable in the middle, where some important factor in its overall list aos. Rather, it was considered important even before the knowledge of the factors to acquire. Now you can look at an example, if a budget that allocated less than $ 100 then he / she ignore terms like dedicated servers collocation, etc. But more than the budget they have the opportunity to learn. There are many sources of knowledge acquisition is the main source for all to read the article, more articles like showing a complete picture, more value, it means more knowledge. Another advantage of this medium is that it is the cheapest means of acquiring knowledge. The theme, once elected, is to be read on the budget on. Inclusion in the budget not only money but also time. If the argument that their needs and the sources of opinion are correct. A crucial point, the customer must keep in mind that he / she should always go for the right information to choose a good hosting provider. Customers should also consider the answers to certain questions, as he / she knows the meaning of five nines, aos, and their business needs. Client does not want the PHP technology on its Web site? The customer is preferably a dynamic and fast over a trusted site to give default simple search friendly site? If the customer visits each of the then all suppliers will do their best to sell their huge plane, the functions that are not required to contain. Let’s look aos another example, a factor that the hosting provider Urchin of statistics is expensive, but will in fact have to pay providers a license fee, which is best used for the transfer to the customer, to the shoulder aos. To operate a good business or a part of the free stats open source solutions are more than enough. Hosting providers make these additions to it more attractive package. We need to evaluate the basic functionality and would ultimately for the add-ons which can amount to supplement the core. Let’s go further and aos look at other sources. Another reliable source, that customers can directly with hosting providers and provides them with an honest opinion about the features that speak your business needs. Thus the conclusion that after reading the article and always in contact with 8 or 9-providers can a good level of knowledge and can tell you that he / she can now act with intelligence, and the choice of hosting for him her. In general, what happens to owners of small village of stupid mistakes, such compromises with the sources at low cost and ignore the rest of things. There are many providers who are willing to offer their services at very reasonable prices, but their services are worthless and unreliable, like, whenever they are needed to disappear. A good supplier is providing more appropriate support whenever needed and charges the customers under support provided. Last but not least, the source with which the user both with advisors in the network, or you can talk to people who can be consulted in advance to be hosted. This is a lengthy process, but knowledge of the customer gains from this source are really noticeable. When a user negotiates a better deal, and if he / she gets solved all their problems or, aos, if the economy grows, it is then that a host is required to take really good to aos success story.

The Other Side of a Free Web Hosting Plan

Mostly, new people get attracted towards the concept of free web hosting plan. However, they don’t know about the actual issues involved in a free web hosting plan, until they use it. One must understand that a paid web host provider has got better services to offer, compared to free hosts. Free web hosting facility might be suitable for personal homepages and other types of websites which do not depend on online advertising or sales revenues. A paid hosting service is ideal for those in business and who are interested in online selling or just want to have a professional web presence with regard to their business.

You might be hunting for an appropriate host for your website and then suddenly you feel like asking yourself, “why should I pay for a web hosting plan, when I can get easily acquire a free website for myself?” Well, it all depends on the type of website that you are dealing with. With a free hosting plan, you might end up being frustrated due to various reasons. Some of the points are explained as follows:

1) Down time is common in free hosting plans:

It is common to experience downtime issues with free web hosts. Since you do not pay for the service, free hosting providers feel less obligated to offer good service. The free web hosting providers don’t really value a free subscriber, since they feel that this group is not really beneficial to them. Hence, free web hosting providers are not bothered if their users are dissatisfied with the service.

2) Free flow of advertisement:

In a free hosting service, you will definitely be disturbed by constant, unwanted ads on all your web pages. You may even see a pop up banner as soon as you click a link etc. You can hardly do anything about this situation because many free hosts rely solely on these advertisements in order to make money. So, you must be aware of the fact that these advertisements will reduce your professional image just because you have opted for a free web hosting plan.

3) Bad customer support:

Most of the free web hosting providers cannot effort to provide customer support facility to their users. In such a case, it is always better to rely on the FAQ page (frequently asked question). The FAQ can come to your rescue when in case, live or email support is denied by the free web hosting provider.

4) Restricted hard disk space:

Think twice before you opt for a free web host. If your website is large enough, you might then experience free web host being quite limited. Mostly, free hosts can provide hard disk space of about 5 to 10MB. You will experience difficulties when your website is growing and you are thinking of expanding your website beyond your allotted disk space.

5) Lengthy domain names:

In a free hosting plan, customers are not allowed to use their own names, as in the case of paid hosts. Those users who are opting for free hosting services are required to choose a sub domain off the host’s name. Thus, you land up having a lengthy domain name for your website. Visitors will find it difficult to remember your lengthy domain name. Hence, you are then likely to loose potential customers. If customers want to access your website, they will have to bookmark your site instead of depending on their own memory.
