A lot of people blog, blogging is a new trend nowadays. Almost everyone I know has a blog, or knows someone who has one. It’s a great new way to communicate and share your thoughts and ideas. When blogs first came out, people where hesitant to follow and start blogging as well. The reason for this is because it was a new thing, and people were not yet used to the idea.

As the trend setters of the online world began to start their own blogs, something special began to happen. These blogs started to become bigger and better. Not only this but the response people were getting from their blogs was immense, blogs started to be a thing to pick up on. All the attention on “blogs” now lead to more traffic to bloggers websites. More people searching for the information they need through blogs.

This meant something else as well…More money. As bloggers started getting more and more traffic to their blogs, they started to display advertisements on their blogs that earn them revenue. Since these blogs where all getting visitors that were interested in a certain topic, bloggers would then display advertisements related to the topic, content, and or niche of the blog.

This meant people were more likely to be interested in these advertisements and check them out. Bloggers went from blogging as a way of life, to blogging as a means for life. The fact that you could make a living off blogging, encouraged a lot of people to start their own blogs in hopes of making money online as well.

How to Get More Readers for Your Blog and Keep Them Coming Back?

While in the beginning blogs were created more for personal use, as the internet and businesses develop more and more companies are using blogs to help promote their business, but the basics remain the same.

Whether you have a business blog or a personal one you no doubt want as many people to view it and hopefully interact with it, and you, as possible. There are a few key things to remember when both primarily creating your blog and then promoting it to others.

First and foremost keep your readers in mind; even if you have a blog that is full of nothing more than your personal rants, if you want people to keep coming back you need to make it easy to read and understand. Remember that in this day and age people using the internet will often spend a lot of time just skimming over pages so you need to capture and then keep their interest, the best way to do this is to keep your writing clear and concise, while it doesn’t need to be grammatically ideal (at least for a personal blog) it should at least make sense.

Try to provide useful and important information for your readers, no matter what subject your blog is about if you can give the viewers the information they want or find helpful they will keep coming back for more.

You don’t need to use every technical gadget you come across on your blog; while they all have their individual places a business blog for example may lose some of its professionalism if the readers are subjected to heavy metal music the minute they open the page.

While you are working on your readership base, and trying to gain readers, you are going to find that commenting on blogs that are relevant to yours will surely help. Find a blog that is on the same topic to yours, or close to it and leave comments. You can also make a track back with your blog postings to comment on your own blog. Doing so will probably more than likely give someone else the urge to track back to your blog. This will be good for it as well. Commenting on blogs that get many comments will make your blog seen by those involved in that market. You will gain traffic and readers that way, and it is easy as well as free.

Make your blog as interactive as possible; give your readers the chance to leave comments or feedback, the more reason you can give them to interact with you the more often they will come back; on that note you can also give your viewers the chance to subscribe to your blog so they receive emails when your blog has been updated etc.

Finally, where possible, keep your individual posts in related categories etc. that makes it a lot easier for first time and casual readers to find what it is they may be looking for.

Remember though, whether it is business or personal, blogs can be great fun and a great way to express your thoughts, get your creative juices flowing or promote your online or offline work.

Starting a blog is useful for expressing your ideas and making extra income. Below I’ve outlined the steps to creating your own blog.

Step 1: Go to WordPress.com and sign-up for a blog

Some people like to use Blogger because it’s owned by Google but I believe that WordPress is a far superior blogging system. WordPress and Blogger are free so you don’t have to worry about paying for hosting fees and domain registration.

Step 2: Choose The Subject Of Your Blog

If you want your blog to be successful it has to be grounded by a solid subject, it can’t just ramble all over the place unless your creating a blog strictly for entertainment purposes. If you choose a category such as Weight Loss for example, your blog should focus only on that. 

You can start as many blogs as you want so if you come up with a new subject/idea you can just start a new blog to cater to it.

Step 3: Choose A Blog Template Or Design Your Own

WordPress offers a lot of templates to choose from. If your just starting out using a template to design your blog around is the best choice. The content of your blog is generally more important then the design, so I wouldn’t worry to much about design.

After you’ve followed all of those steps you’ll have a blog ready to go. If you want to use your blog to make money, you can sell your own products, promote affiliate products or sell ad space(use adwords) to make money from your blog.

The Bad:

1. Your Not Going To Get Rich Quick – In order to make money blogging your going to need to know a few “advanced” blogging techniques. This guide explains all of them in a easy manner and has screen shots that show you exactly what you need to do.  But because some of the techniques are a little advanced, anybody looking to “get rich quick” is going to be disappointed. This is a steady, long-term guide to making money blogging.

2. Takes A Little Bit Of Time And Work – This is not one of those: Turn your computer on, type for 45 minutes and watch the money roll in guides. Initially in the beginning your going to have to dedicate part time work hours to ‘Blogging On Steroids’ to achieve success.

I have thought about ‘How To Make Real Money With Blogs’ a lot. I’ve also read a lot about it. So, this is what I came up with.

Building a blog empire is the way to go:

1. You need to decide on what niche topic your blog empire should go for. It has to be a more general subject where you can use sub categories for your blogs. And of course, it has to be a hot niche topic that everybody is interested in.

Go to ClickBank for this kind of information. And by the way, Internet Marketing is always a profitable main category to go for.

2. Start with about 5 blogs at Blogspost and WordPress. Search engines love this ones.

3. Post some great, useful information about your topics on your blogs at least every second day. This is important for the search engines to be able to notice your blogs. Google for ideas by typing in keywords related to your topics and use the results for your articles.

4. Place affiliate links into each of your posts and at the end of your articles. These links should be related to your blog theme. Also place links at the side of your blogs. Go to ClickBank and find yourself some great affiliate programs that relate to your topics and sign up as an affiliate. It’s easy. Just go by the step-by-step instructions.

These affiliate links will enable you to blog your way to riches.

Don’t forget to SEO your posts or articles with keywords. Start by including a related keyword into your title and continue throughout your article body. This will ensure that the search engines will find your articles and blogs. Never forget keywords.

To find keywords use Google search engine and ‘google’ with some words or phrases that relate to your articles. If something comes up with the words you search with, you have found your keywords.

You really only need one keyword or key phrase for each article you post on your blogs.

5. Set up an Adsense account for ads to be put on your blogs. With these ads you can actually earn some money the easy way. And it’s FREE! Place some targeted Google ads on your blogs, as this will make you money each and every time someone clicks on those ads on your blogs.

6. Write and submit 2 fresh quality articles a day for each blog to submit to article directories like EzineArticles.com and GoArticles.com. After a few weeks you should see some excellent targeted traffic coming your way.

7. Get a domain name or a page on your existing web site for each of your affiliate programs and re-direct these to your affiliate links, as the above article directories will not accept affiliate links. But they are still the greatest to go with.

I know, I know! It sounds impossible to write posts in about 5 blogs and write 2 articles a day for these blogs.

But you can re-write your blog entries into articles with 300-550 words, or so and submit them to the article directories of your choice.This will make you some significant extra money by marketing your affiliate programs with your articles as well. 

Other marketers write 10 to 20 articles a day! You get used to it and then it will come to you easy.

If you stick to it, this can make you very wealthy. It has made many determined marketers rich. Believe me!
